How to Save Pinterest Videos on Android

Android's download handling is closer to desktop, so saving a public Pinterest video takes about twenty seconds in Chrome.

The steps

    Open the Pin in the Pinterest app and tap the share icon.

    Tap Copy link.

    Open Chrome and load the Pinterest Video Downloader.

    Paste the link and tap Analyze.

    Tap Download Video and accept the download prompt.

Finding the file

Chrome stores files in the Download folder. Open the Files or My Files app and look under Downloads, or tap the download notification. Most gallery apps pick up MP4 files from that folder automatically; if yours doesn't, move the file into Movies or DCIM.

If the download stalls

  • Switch from a weak mobile connection to Wi-Fi and retry.
  • Make sure you have free storage space.
  • Re-copy the Pin link — share links can expire from cached app screens.
